Position needed: Office manager/bookkeeper

Non -Profit OfficeManager/Bookkeeper Wanted 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recording the day-to-day financial interactions, preparing and depositing funds, maintaining the communication systems that are in place, general office duties and historic home management responsibilities. Qualities/Skills: working knowledge of excel, word, good people skills including communication in both written and spoken form, with a proven ability to work independently. Compensation: $15.00/hr. 20 hours a week year round, mixed schedule however weekends (12-4) during the touring season.

Hours

Docents in period clothing provide interpretive tours of the house at: noon, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m.— Thursdays through Sundays in June, July, and August;
Fridays through Sundays in May, September, and until Mid-October, however, we are still booking school and group tours through November. 

Except for Christmas at the Castle, the first weekend in December, the Castle is closed for public tours until the first weekend in May. The office is open through the winter; please call 401 294-3521 with any questions. Admission Prices are under "Planning a Visit"-"Admissions (Prices)"  

The days we are not open during the week, visitors (Groups & Bus Tours must clear visits with the office before arriving: (401) 294-3521), may walk the grounds up to an hour before sunset, but there is no access to the inside of the Castle. This is a privately owned Historic House Museum and there must be a designated member with people, inside the Castle, at all times (no self guided tours). 

Pets are allowed on leash, but you must pick up after them! No pets are allowed on the grounds during events.
